VACANCY FOR APPRENTICE - training with Stubbing Court

RIDING LESSONS every day except Fridays.   Prices FROM 1st November 2009:

  1. Private 1:1, half an hour (£36.00 at weekends, £26.00 off peak hours); 40 minutes or 60 minutes available.
  2. Semi-Private 2/3 riders prices from £22.00 per half hour.
  3. Group 4-6 riders £16 for 16 years and under; 17 years and over £18.00 per half hour; £25.00 for an hour's lesson or hack all ages. 

OFFER ! 10% discount when you pay in advance for ten group lessons or 5 private lessons.  This makes the cost of a half hour group lesson just £14.40 for 16 years and under and £16.20 for 17 years and over.

Hat hire is £1, boots and sticks available to borrow, gloves & whips can be purchased on the day from £2.50 for gloves and £4.50+ for sticks.

Beginners are very welcome from 4 years upwards, (please note there is no upper age limit, only we are limited by the weight our equines can carry).   £16.00 + £1.00 hat hire  for 16 years and  under, maximum 3 riders  per half hour group lesson. 

Lessons & Hacks start  at 10.00 am. and include lessons after 4.00 p.m.  1 hour hack £25.00.  There are some spaces for both beginners and the more advanced rider to ride on a regular basis either weekly or fortnightly. 

We do have a weight limit of 12 stone 7 lbs.

If you've ridden previously and want to get back into riding Ridgewood Equestrian is ideal.  Ideal too for you and some friends to have a half hour lesson and then a short hack around Alderwasley village followed by coffee and cakes; please mention this when booking.  This is available on weekdays.   Exam preparation lessons with Toni are also available for advanced riders.  Toni's speciality is dressage.   Toni is also trained to give instruction in Natural Horsemanship.  Show presentation preparation lessons with Becky are now on offer.  Nicky's speciality is jumping.

Hacks  These all start on local country roads taking 30minutes up to 2 hours.  Hacks can be taken in Alderwasley Park for the more experienced riders.  For those of you wanting  more hacking there is Haddon House, a horse riding stables based in the heart of the Peak District countryside within easy reach of Sheffield and Manchester.  Haddon House is ABRS approved and specialise in hacking out for adults who are intermediate / experienced riders.
